The website and the roofer are separate
This website, trading as Pro Roofers Dartford, is owned and operated by IGEN MEDIA LTD (company number 14525127, registered office Dorset House, 5 Church Street, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 1JH). IGEN MEDIA LTD does not carry out roofing work.
When you send an enquiry, it is passed to an independent roofing contractor, who is independent of IGEN MEDIA LTD. The contractor contacts you, visits, surveys the roof, issues the quotation and carries out any work you agree to. Any contract for roofing work is made directly between you and the contractor, on the contractor's own quotation and paperwork, and the contractor is responsible for that work.
Enquiries, surveys and quotes
Sending an enquiry doesn't create a contract or commit you to anything. Surveys and written quotations are free and carry no obligation.
A quotation is a fixed price for the work it describes. It should only change if something that couldn't reasonably be seen at the survey turns up once work starts, such as rotten timber hidden under the old covering. Where that's a real possibility on your roof, the quotation should say so, with a rate, before you accept it.
The guide prices on this website, including the roofing costs page, are rough bands to help you judge a quotation. They are not offers or quotations.
Guarantees
Re-roofs arranged through this website normally come with a 10 year workmanship guarantee, issued in writing by the contractor who does the work and handed over on completion. The guarantee for your job is set out in the quotation before you accept it. Materials carry their manufacturers' own warranties, which vary by product.
A workmanship guarantee covers the work done. It does not cover later storm damage, damage caused by other people, parts of the roof that weren't included in the work, or problems that come from a lack of ordinary upkeep such as gutters left blocked.
Cancelling
If you agree to work at your home or anywhere other than the contractor's business premises, you will normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask for work to start inside those 14 days and then cancel, you may have to pay for what has been done. The contractor's paperwork should set out your cancellation rights in full.
None of this affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to have work done with reasonable care and skill.

Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
